²² There were no Anakites remaining in the land of the Israelites. Only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod were they left. ²³ So Joshua took the whole land according to everything the Lord had spoken to Moses, and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel according to their allotments for their tribes. Then the land rested from war.
